PeliStrip

Kit for the elution of antibodies from intact red blood cells

Sensitised red blood cells are washed with PBS to remove all free antibodies. All antibodies bound to red blood cells are eluted from the red blood cells with an acid elution solution. Immediately after elution, the eluate is separated from the red blood cells and the pH of the eluate is adjusted to pH 6.6-7.4 with neutralisation solution. Neutralisation is visualised by a persistent blue colour. The eluate is now ready for antibody identification with the indirect antiglobulin test with PEG.
